The Six Convenings
The table below is a high-level preview of each convening's objective, what is live in the screener and platform implementation at that point, and the Quarterly Summary it informs. Each session informs the Quarterly Summary of learning shared with the Commission.
| Convening | Objective | Foundational Content | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 · Foundation And Initial Implementation | |||
| Convening 1 October 28, 2026 Launch | Full group: understand the BHPM pilot as a shared learning effort, including the purpose of the screener, Dashboard, Educator Portal, pilot parameters and the role of the Learning Collaborative. Develop a shared understanding of an Ecosystem of Care approach and how behavioral health data can strengthen existing MTSS and student-support systems. Commitments. Breakouts: learn from early implementation across LEAs, including wins, questions, variation and barriers emerging during the fall screening window. | Fall 2026 screening window open (September 15 to November 30, 2026). Educator Portal in build (Activity 3.2b, through December 31, 2026). Public Dashboard in build. | Q1 Summary to the Commission, due December 15, 2026. |
| Convening 2 March 3, 2027 From Foundation To Implementation | Full group: build LEA capacity to understand the screener's six competencies and read and act on their own Educator Portal data. Commitments. Breakouts: learn from early implementation across LEAs, including wins, questions, variation and barriers emerging during staff training. | Educator Portal deployment and staff training (Activity 6.5) runs January 1 to March 15, 2027, concluding around this date, so this session opens with live Educator Portal data. Public Dashboard launches in the following window. | Q2 Summary to the Commission, due March 15, 2027. |
| Convening 3 May 5, 2027 From Launch To Longevity | Full group: understand the behavioral health and community wellness ecosystem surrounding their students. Identify strengths, gaps, overlaps and barriers in the current system of care. Explore how CBO, county behavioral health and other community partnerships can complement school-based supports. Identify potential resources and funding mechanisms that could strengthen identified gaps, including the CYBHI Fee Schedule. Commitments. Breakouts: cross-LEA sharing on wins and lessons learned from using the Educator Portal. | Public Dashboard launching in this window (through June 15, 2027). The first convening to open with live Dashboard data, alongside three quarters of Educator Portal longitudinal data. | Q3 Summary to the Commission, due June 15, 2027. |
| Convening 4 October 27, 2027 Celebrating Success, Reflecting On Learning | Reflect on a full year of BHPM implementation and longitudinal data. Identify what has changed in how LEAs understand and use behavioral health information. Examine what the cohort has learned about the Ecosystem of Care. Identify practices that appear promising and are worth strengthening, or aspects of the model that need refinement. Commitments. | Full-year longitudinal dataset from the Educator Portal and the public Dashboard. Year-over-year comparison begins in the reporting cycle. | Q4 Summary to the Commission, due September 15, 2027. |
| Year 2 · Full Implementation And Scale | |||
| Convening 5 Year 2, Quarter 1 | Move LEAs from basic dashboard literacy to advanced, equity-focused data use. | Full Year 1 data cycle complete. Portal and Dashboard both fully operational. Subgroup-disaggregated data and early Stanford predictive-analytics findings available. | Y2Q1 Summary to the Commission, due December 15, 2027. |
| Convening 6 Year 2, Quarter 2 | Turn two years of implementation experience into concrete recommendations for scaling BHPM statewide. | Final reporting cycle. Two-year longitudinal dataset and evaluation-ready exports from the Educator Portal, public Dashboard and ASR. | Y2Q2 Summary to the Commission, due March 15, 2028. Informs the Training Guide and Final Report. |
Registration for the four Year 1 sessions is open on the Statewide Convening Series page.
Each convening is set against what is live in the screener and platform at that point, so the cohort studies real data every time and the sequence tracks the implementation it reports on.
