Session Agendas

Scope: Implementation Workplan Crosswalk Activity 4.1: design the learning collaborative framework, facilitation plan and quarterly schedule, including topics, stakeholder engagement methods and documentation procedures.

Session agendas have been developed to guide the collaborative learning sessions. Sessions are designed to be interactive, blending information sharing with opportunities for participants to make meaning of their experience and learn from others in the pilot cohort.

The four Year 1 agendas are set out below. The agendas for the final two sessions are developed from the reflection and feedback of the first year of implementation. Because this is a learning pilot, the purpose and content of each session may evolve to best meet the needs of the learning cohort.

Convening 1 · Launch

October 28, 2026 · 90 minutes. Session objectives:

  • Understand the BHPM pilot as a shared learning effort, including the purpose of the screener, Dashboard, Educator Portal, pilot parameters and the role of the Learning Collaborative.
  • Develop a shared understanding of an Ecosystem of Care approach and how behavioral health data can strengthen existing MTSS and student-support systems.
  • Learn from early implementation across LEAs, including wins, questions, variation and barriers emerging during the fall screening window.

10 minThe BHPM Journey: From Screener To Student SupportCreate a shared mental model of what BHPM is designed to accomplish. Move beyond “administering a screener” to the larger question: what becomes possible when schools have reliable information about students' behavioral health competencies? Review the arc of the BHPM grant, expectations for participants, and learning session norms.DBG · SCCOE
20 minEcosystem Of Care ApproachIntroduce the Ecosystem of Care concept and connect behavioral health to the systems and conditions that influence student wellbeing, engagement and learning.Breaking Barriers
15 minReview Of Early ThemesReview themes observed from cross-LEA implementation. Review common implementation questions, patterns and key variations.Impacter Pathway
35 minRole-Specific Collaboration BreakoutsEngage in candid peer learning around the fall screener experience. Participants discuss what is working, what has been difficult, what they are learning about implementation, and what they need next.DBG · ASR
5 minClosing And AppreciationReview take-aways from the session and next steps. Participants make action commitments. Celebrate LEAs' participation as innovators on this learning journey.DBG

Convening 2 · From Foundation To Implementation

March 3, 2027 · 90 minutes. Session objectives:

  • Build LEA capacity to understand the screener's six competencies and read and act on their own Educator Portal data.
  • Learn from early implementation across LEAs, including wins, questions, variation and barriers emerging during staff training.

Convening 3 · From Launch To Longevity

May 5, 2027 · 90 minutes. Session objectives:

  • Understand the behavioral health and community wellness ecosystem surrounding their students.
  • Identify strengths, gaps, overlaps and barriers in the current system of care.
  • Explore how CBO, county behavioral health and other community partnerships can complement school-based supports.
  • Identify potential resources and funding mechanisms that could strengthen identified gaps, including the CYBHI Fee Schedule.
  • Share across LEAs the wins and lessons learned from using the Educator Portal.

Why This Matters

Every Year 1 session follows the same frame, a return to last quarter's commitments, a deep dive, role-specific breakouts and new commitments, so the cohort-level study-and-act cycle holds from one quarter to the next.
